Meet Molly York, Medical Assistant
Molly York is a recent graduate of the University of Alabama, where she earned her degree in Public Health and developed a strong understanding of healthcare systems, community health, and the many factors that contribute to quality patient care.
In May, Molly completed her Certified Medical Assistant program at Shelton State Community College. She has since gained valuable hands-on clinical experience working in the Emergency Department as an ED Technician, where she has had the opportunity to care for patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment and work alongside a variety of medical professionals.
Molly is currently pursuing an accelerated nursing degree as she works toward her goal of becoming a registered nurse. In the meantime, she is proud to continue the family business by serving as a Medical Assistant at the practice on her days away from the hospital.
For Molly, caring for others is more than a career—it is something she truly enjoys and feels passionate about. She values building genuine connections with patients and being able to make them feel comfortable, supported, and cared for throughout their healthcare experience. Her role at the practice allows her to continue developing her clinical skills while gaining meaningful experience and forming lasting relationships with the patients we serve.
Molly is especially excited to be working alongside her mom and continuing their family’s commitment to providing compassionate, personalized healthcare to the community. She looks forward to growing in her career, learning every day, and helping support the health and well-being of every patient who walks through the practice’s doors.
Why DeVine Direct Care Was Created
For the past 11 years, I have had the privilege of working in family medicine, and one thing has always remained true: I absolutely love caring for people. I love building relationships with patients, listening to their stories, supporting them through challenges, and being someone they can turn to when they need guidance, comfort, or reassurance.
Throughout my years in healthcare, I began to see a growing challenge within the traditional healthcare model. Appointments often became shorter, schedules became fuller, and many patients were left feeling unheard, rushed, or like they were simply another name on a schedule. I found myself wanting more for my patients and believing they deserved more.
I started DeVine Direct Care because I wanted to create a different experience, one where patients feel valued, respected, and truly cared for. I wanted to build a practice where people feel comfortable bringing any concern to the table without worrying about time limits or feeling like their questions are unimportant.
My goal is simple: to provide personalized care in an environment where patients feel accepted, supported, and heard. I believe healthcare is about more than treating symptoms; it is about building relationships, understanding each person as an individual, and creating a space where people feel comfortable and confident in their care.
At DeVine Direct Care, you are more than a patient you are a person, and your health journey matters.
